Harbor House Gardens is an artists' showcase.
Harbor House Gardens has a long tradition of welcoming guests and visitors to Maine. Built in 1909 for a Searsport sea captain, HHG has had many lives in Searsport's history as a local inn, general store, gift shop and doll house, and now, as a premiere showcase of national and international artists' talent.
Searsport, once a major maritime and naval hub, is now considered the antiques capital of Maine. It is a thriving coastal village with many distinguished bed and breakfasts, excellent restaurants, and one-of-a-kind lagoons.
Between breathtaking seasonal lupine meadows, lilies, lilacs, and rose bushes, Harbor House Gardens is in a unique position to welcome visitors to Maine with over 600 feet of frontage along one of the most scenic highways not only in Maine but also New England. This provides a boundless venue for art and crafts to thousands of visitors every year.
Our gallery and gift shop, with its brightly lit aisles and soft background music, has an inviting, serene atmosphere and is easy to find. Harbor House Gardens is a hotbed of new talent and ideas from all over the world. Check our site often for new artists, special promotions and interest news. We hope you will enjoy coming to Harbor House Gardens often, year after year.
